MATHCOUNTS
Last Thursday (2/17/22), the five students (Alvaro Mora, Kassandra Thompson, Jesus Serna, Karely Flores, and Adriel Casas) participated in the Mathcounts Chapter Competition, which was held online. They are in competition against other schools in Yuma county, and based on how well they did, they will have the chance to participate on the State Competition in the Phoenix area. Results will be released Today
The competition consisted of 3 rounds:
Sprint Round: 40 minutes to complete 30 non-multiple-choice word problems.
Target Round: 4 sets of two word problems, with 6 minutes given to complete each pair.
Team Round: Alvaro, Kassandra, Adriel, and Jesus worked as a team to complete 10 questions in 20 minutes
