$25,00 AZ Milken Award goes for our Principal Omar Duron

We are honored to announce that our principal Omar Duron won the $25,00 AZ Milken Award.
Today, Southwest Junior High received the visit of the Superintendent of Public Instruction Kathy Hoffman to talk about the importance of the 2020 census, and we received her and all the attendees with an excellent assembly full of color and music.
During the program, Milken Educator Awards Founder Lowell Milken awarded our principal with Arizona's 2019-20 Milken Educator award which was a $25,000 check, what a great astonishment for Principal Duron!
All the San Luis community congratulates Mr. Duron; this was a well-deserved award for which you have worked for years. He spends countless hours helping students individually to overcomes obstacles on their path to success, and he cares deeply about them. We are all confident in knowing that he wants the best for each and every student.
