 -Activity/Assignment: Worksheet: Past Tense of Irregular Verbs #3.

Directions: Use the attached chart to help you identify the past tense of irregular verbs. If you cannot print the worksheets, then write your answers on a separate sheet of paper. Underline the irregular verb in each sentence. List the verbs in the chart at the bottom of your paper.

¡         Work on Frame graphic organizer. Write in complete sentences your introduction, conclusion, and topic sentences only of the body paragraphs including opposite view.

¡         On a separate piece of paper, write the rough draft of your essay, once you are done edit your paper completely. Make sure to color code the E’s (topic sentences-green, evidence-red, explanation-blue, example-purple), variety of sentences (simple, compound, complex sentences), transitional words, tier 2 words (higher level words).

Don’t forget to cite your evidence! (author’s last name, year the article was written)

Log-in to Clever (clever.com/in/gesd32) and then to Achieve 3000. Select A.Parra-Reading (7th graders) or G. Chavez-Reading (8th graders) and look for “Instashams.” Read the article and do the following assignments:


Complete the 4T’s on a separate piece of paper. On the back, do the graphic organizer for the text structure. Fill out the graphic organizer with the most important details along with paragraph and line number. 


Remember!! Text Structures: Cause and Effect, Problem and  Solution, Description, Compare and Contrast, Sequence.

Objective: SWBAT assess their reading comprehension by answering the “Activity” questions and the “Thought Question” from the article “Instashams.”
