     We both hope that you are all healthy and staying safe! For this week, all attachments are below and there is a video to watch every day. You will have a Galileo assessment on Friday. The test is only open for 30 minutes, so be sure to stay focused and get it finished!

All attachments are in PDF form. It is recommended to have the document open as you are watching the video lesson. If you have a smart phone or tablet where you can open the documents, you can use a free app called “PDF Expert” which would allow you to annotate the documents as if it were a worksheet. -SWBAT Identify, create or complete a relation that is not a function from one that is, in table, graph or in a rule form.
-SWBAT identify and interpret the rate of change (slope) of a linear relationship and its initial value (y-intercept), whether it is given as a table or a graph. Student will also be able to describe in detail the relationship between two functions by analyzing their graphs.

Weekly Objective

SWBAT understand slope-intercept form and its relationship to the equation; y=mx+b.

SWBAT use similar triangles to determine the slope between two points.

Weekly Standard

8.EE.B.6 Use similar triangles to explain why the slope m is the same between any two distinct points on a non-vertical line in the coordinate plane. Derive the equation y = mx for a line through the origin and the equation y = mx + b for a line intercepting the vertical axis at (0, b).
